Schierstein Harbour Wiesbaden Germany

Lonely photographer

A short photo session at the Schierstein Harbour in Wiesbaden, Germany. It was pretty early in the morning just after sunrise. Except for a few joggers, cyclists and people with dogs, it was pretty lonely. Nice!

The Harbour

The Schierstein Harbour was created as an inland port in 1858. The harbor basin is 1,400 meters long and over 200 meters wide. It is located on the southern outskirts of Schierstein at Rhine kilometer 506.0 R and is a center of water sports in the Hessian state capital Wiesbaden and is mainly used as a yacht harbor. Many water sports clubs have their club premises on the shore and their berths in the harbor basin.
